Unlimited rarely means every model, every resolution and full-speed generation forever. The useful question is what stays free of credits, for how long, at what speed, and under which fair-use rules.

Six meanings of ‘unlimited’
A label can mean true no-credit generation, relaxed-speed mode, selected-model access, a time-limited promotion, a legacy entitlement, or simply a large usage pool. These are not equivalent. VideoToolMap only calls something unlimited when the provider explicitly says generations can continue without consuming credits under stated conditions.
Fair use and speed matter
Unlimited modes are usually designed for human creative use, not automated bulk generation. Higgsfield prohibits automation/sharing/reselling and may slow or pause unusual use. Magnific/Freepik similarly applies fair-use controls; after priority usage, generations can continue but one at a time with variable speed.
Best use in real production
Use Unlimited mode for exploration, prompt iteration and retries. Keep credits/API budget for final renders, time-sensitive jobs, unsupported flagship models, automation and higher-priority queues. A hybrid workflow is often cheaper than treating ‘unlimited’ as a promise of unlimited professional throughput.
Why Runway is a warning case
Runway stopped selling Unlimited to new subscribers on June 1, 2026. Eligible legacy users keep Explore Mode only through November 30, 2026, after which the plan moves to Max. It is a good reminder that unlimited entitlements can disappear even when a platform remains active.
